I am
Landy M. Hilger

I am a High School Spanish teacher in rural North Carolina. I grew up in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, therefore my first language is Spanish. In 10th grade, I moved to North Carolina. After working in different industries, I decided to become a teacher. I graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education concentrating in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, my cohort was the literacy team. Thus, I became an English Language Arts teacher for a few years until I decided to teach Spanish. More recently, I obtained a master's degree in Educational Media-Instructional Technology Specialist through Appalachian State University. I love integrating technology when teaching Spanish to practice language and learn directly from the target culture.
